Biography

        Pat Gooden was born in Minneapolis, Minn. in1954. She currently resides in Lake Wales, Florida . She studied Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She is a past recipient of the Virginia Museum Undergraduate Fellowship, and has won numerous awards for her drawing and painting. She studied Black and White photography and darkroom technique at Polk Community College.

        In 1997 she began using the computer to retouch old photographs and quickly discovered its potential as an artistic tool. Since that time she has been creating artwork exclusively with the computer and outputting prints digitally with Epson printers. Currently all of her work is created using Photoshop CS4 with an Epson 1680 Professional scanner and printing with an Epson Stylus Photo 2000P. Her work is composed of digitally manipulated original photographs that she takes using Canon G-7 and Olympus E-20 N cameras.
